FI Facet Classification


The facet classification is developed from the different view point which forms the IPC/FI. It consists of three digit alphabets (first digit represents the section of IPC) and its dot(s) shows the hierarchy. By clicking the links on the left hand frame, you can reference FI facet classifications.

* The number in parentheses "( )" indicates the year when the corresponding Expanded Facet Classification was newly-created.
   Please note, however, that the newly-created Expanded Facet Classification may be given by Japan Patent Office to older documents published before the date of creation.
