Expanded classification
 This classification system includes the categorized data uniquely developed by PATOLIS and was prepared by combining the categories of industrial fields with the major technical categories receiving a growing social concern. This classification contains 28 higher categories and 133 middle categories. Searching with IPC which is regarded as a functional classification will be expected to yield a good result. In addition, since the categories of Chemistry, Machinery, and Electronic fields in this classification table are classified based on the industrial groups, you can regard them as vertical classification and the categories listed from ｡ﾈPollution prevention｡ﾉ to ｡ﾈSafety｡ﾉ can be regarded as horizontal classification. Furthermore, the criteria of the classification system has been built up in a different view point from the patent classification, so an unique search result can also be expected.
